Learning to please God and not people

I’d much rather live pleasing God and going through all of life’s challenges, and whatever tests and trials I have to endure than fall under the schemes of the enemy and end up eternally in hell.

When I look at all the distractions, I can see how easy it is to fall into these schemes. Sometimes it’s things we don’t catch quite easily or may not think it’s really “bad” but become convicted later and realizing the truth behind it.

Be reminded of these verses, and let these words guide your life and decisions. The bible is like a GPS for our life. If we search in the bible where or how we should go, or how we should be, it will tell us. It won’t tell us exactly where we should go to the exact place, but it shows us the blueprint of how we should live our lives as children of God. We just have to open the book and read it.

🌿

Mark 8:36
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

God promises us these things —

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Colossians 3:23-24

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9

This verse is what I hope to hear —

✨

His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Matthew 25:21

Other verses I like to go back and read when I need some encouragement or love from our heavenly Father —

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
Proverbs 3:3-4

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12

However, as it is written:
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9
