How do we fellowship with one another? I listed some verses below that we can ponder on. There are many verses talking about fellowship in the Bible and how important it is… For me it hasn’t always been an easy thing to social interact with other people let alone beginning to fellowship with one another.
I deal with my own social anxieties that I will talk about in a later time, but I see how important it is to come together and sharpen one another using the word of God. The importance of fellowship is not only good for us socially but spiritually. One may be more mature, one may have more knowledge, one with ideas… there are many different ways we can come together to glorify God and bring more of His children together.
One verse in particular…
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
As it says in Ecclesiastes, a threefold chord is not easily broken. There is strength and they are bonded together whereas one would snap and break easily.
When we fellowship together, we are building Gods kingdom and building strength spiritually to strengthen our armor of God through the enemy’s schemes.
